Last Project

So excited to get this oil painting up on the wall. I took a picture of these deer a few years ago while driving through Julian in the San Diego mountains. They were foraging in the apple fields. My husband helped me reassemble an old palette and I transferred the photo image to the wood using oil paints and a little creative license.

Next Project

My next project is going to be a mosaic butterfly made from art glass, marbles and beads. This will be my first attempt with glass mosaics and I'm excited to see how it will turn out. I look forward to refining my skills in this new medium and completing many projects soon.

I stumbled across this painting that is up for auction at Heritage Auction House this month. I just love the low key background with the red canopy and flowers popping brilliantly against the more muted colors.
